Composite imagery provides a variety of ways to view the landscape of remote sensed imagery. Through the combination of two or more "bands" a spectrum of features in the landscape can be highlighted for analysis.
Table 3-1lists and describes characteristics of each band. A variety of combinations were utilized to create the imagery under the IMAGE PROCESSING page link.
Imagery was gathered from USGS GLOVIS (tiles 42/20 and 42/19 Oil Sands facilities and Lake Athabasca) for the following months and years:

Image processing techniques were conducted in IDRISI Selva software package for production of final map products.
